What you will make

In this walkthrough, we will add a video to RedShoreMedia, create a share link, and preview a Patreon post. We will cover both direct video links and Cloudflare Stream. Use a video you own or have permission to share.

1. Create your account

Start at redshoremedia dot com and open the sign-up page. Enter your email and a strong password. Read and accept the current terms, then create your account. Successful registration opens your dashboard. All credentials shown in this walkthrough are demonstration data.

2. Choose your video source

The Free plan allows twenty-five videos in total. Your video files stay with your chosen hosting provider. Choose a direct link for an existing compatible video, or connect Cloudflare Stream for its library and upload workflow.

3. Add a direct MP4 or HLS source

First, test the source. A direct MP4 link should open the video itself, not a hosting website. Choose Your server or storage. Paste the public HTTPS source URL, enter a title, and optionally add a poster URL. Select Check video link and review the result. Confirm your rights to share the content, then select Add video link. Open the saved video and check playback. Compatible WebM files and HLS playlists are also supported. HLS needs cross-origin access for its playlist, segments, and any keys. Adding an MP4 does not automatically transcode it into adaptive streaming.

4. Connect Cloudflare Stream

Open Cloudflare accounts and give the connection a name. Enter your Cloudflare Account ID and a private API token with Account, Stream, Edit permission, restricted to the intended account. Select Verify and connect. Return to the dashboard and choose Import from Cloudflare. This imports all available ready videos, subject to your plan limit. Our demonstration library contains one example. Check that the imported video is ready. The platform also offers direct uploads to Cloudflare. Hosting and delivery charges remain with your provider.

5. Copy the RedShoreMedia watch link

Open the video's share options and copy its RedShoreMedia watch link. It uses slash v slash followed by the video identifier. Open that link in a new tab and check the poster, sound, and playback before sharing it.

6. Preview an illustrative Patreon post

This Patreon editor is an illustrative teaching mockup; layouts may vary. Choose Create, then Post, and select Embed URL. If that option is missing, turn off Make this a drop. Paste the RedShoreMedia watch link, not the raw MP4 address or iframe code. Add a title and an optional description. In post settings, choose who can access the post. Use Preview post to check the desktop and mobile web views. This demonstration ends at a preview; it does not publish a real Patreon post.

7. Final checks and limits

Before publishing your own post, test the complete viewer experience. Link protection helps reduce unwanted reuse; it is not DRM or a membership check. Patreon access is configured by you. Player customization requires Creator or Business. Keep your source available and use the help pages when troubleshooting.

Try your source before publishing.

Start with 25 video links on Free. Storage and delivery stay with your chosen host.
